The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) for UG metro projects. The role involves the design, analysis, and review of critical mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements for large-scale infrastructure projects.   His/Her responsibilities will be: - Design and Development: Conceptualize, design, and validate TVS & ECS systems for underground metro, road, and railway tunnels, ensuring compliance with national and international standards. - Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis: Conduct CFD analysis and simulations to assess and optimize tunnel ventilation, airflow, smoke control, and air quality. - Numerical Modelling: Perform 1D and 3D numerical modelling to validate and optimize the design of TVS and ECS systems. - Tender and Proposal Support: Develop and review tender documents and technical proposals, ensuring the technical accuracy of design submissions. - Detailed Engineering: Prepare, review, and optimize detailed engineering drawings, technical reports, calculations, and technical specifications for TVS and ECS systems. - Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and external consultants to ensure on-time project delivery. - Compliance & Quality: Ensure designs adhere to fire, life safety, environmental, and quality standards for underground tunnel infrastructure. - Coordination: Act as a liaison between design teams, contractors, and third-party consultants to resolve technical issues. - Site Support: Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of TVS & ECS systems. - Documentation: Prepare technical reports, design briefs, and operational manuals for the TVS & ECS systems. Job Requirements: - Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and engineering of underground metro, road, and railway tunnels, with at least 5 years of experience in Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) for metro projects. - Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in TVS, ECS, and HVAC system design for underground infrastructure. - CFD and Numerical Modelling: Proficiency in conducting CFD analysis and simulations and performing 1D/3D numerical modelling for system validation and optimization. - Design Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with design tools like Autodesk, FDS, Pyrosim, HAP, and SES/SVS. - Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of international standards such as NFPA 130, ASHRAE, Eurocode, and other metro, railway, and tunnel-specific guidelines. - Compliance Knowledge: Deep knowledge of fire and life safety requirements for tunnel and metro infrastructure. - Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
